At all our partner universities, there are leading research and teaching hubs in speech, language, and AI technologies, with unique profiles and excellent international standing. Distinguished lab members have served as Presidents of the leading international scientific organisations in our field such as the International Speech Communication Association, the Association for Computational Linguistics, the International Association for Machine Translation, or the International Alliance to Advance Learning in the Digital Era and as General Chairs or Technical Program Chairs of major international conferences. Building on this ecosystem with many personal connections, it was easy to join forces in the innovative Graduate School.
